About

Ozact presents Twelfth Night the most brilliant of Shakespeare's comedies. A moving kaleidoscope of mistaken identities, larger than life characters, highly charged situations, swashbuckling duels and flashing wit. Orsino loves Olivia, who won't give him the time of day. Olivia loves Viola, whom she thinks is a boy, Viola loves Orsino ,who doesn't know she's a girl. Malvolio loves himself (of course), and Sir Andrew, Sir Toby and Maria love life to the fullest and its most outrageous. It is all hilarious confusion and rollicking laughs in this comedy, from its unforgettable first line to its deliriously comic conclusion, Twelfth Night is a masterpiece of disguise, deception and desire. This year marks the 25th year Ozact has been performing Shakespeare in the great outdoors, and their productions in the Grampians have been an annual Easter tradition and a much anticipated holiday event over this 25 year period. Beneath the towering slopes of Mount Difficult lie the mighty walls of Heatherlie Quarry nestled in a serene and beautiful bush setting punctuated by sandy clearings with remnants of settlement, a perfect setting for Shakespeare's comedy. Bookings are essential, tickets are limited. Visit the website for ticket bookings and detailed production information.
