This unique dining experience is the culmination of the 2019 Djinda Ngardak Program that sees Indigenous students from across Western Australia travel to Albany to participate in a week-long culinary camp where students participate in a series of Masterclasses led by renowned chefs including - Indigenous chef Reece Lardi, Paula Iskov (owner and chef of Fervor), Rohan Parks (Fervor), Melissa Palinkas (owner and chef of Young George) and Anna Gare (media personality and cookbook author).
Students are also mentored by Local Elders and Cultural Leaders during activities on-country that facilitate the exploration of traditional plants and ingredients.
This event is an opportunity for guest to experience a menu that has been designed to incorporate Indigenous flavours and locally-sourced produce from the Great Southern Region. To accompany this, the evening's entertainment will showcase local Indigenous art, music, dance and fashion.
