Oakbank Racing Club located at Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills has a rich history in racing circles. The club was established in 1876 and boasts one of the world's largest picnic race meetings. In 2020 the club is launching the new 'Oakbank Week', providing patrons with the opportunity to start new traditions trackside at Oakbank Racecourse. Two of Australia's premier jumps races , the Great Eastern Steeplechase and the Harry D. Young Hurdle attract thousands of racegoers and families from across the nation on Easter Saturday. Oakbank week adds a unique flavour to country racing with it's world-class races and calling, lavish picnics, family atmosphere, entertainment, Kelly Sports and fashions. Kids activities include: Face Painting Arts & Crafts Foam Hockey Basketball Shooting Tug O War Relay Races Quoits/Hoops/Skipping Ropes Golf Putting Start a new tradition with Oakbank Week in 2020.
