The Australian Government and health authorities have announced the cancellation of all non-essential gatherings to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. bentART was established in the Blue Mountains in 2005 to celebrate works in the visual arts of Australian Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) artists. Each year over the June long weekend, the annual four day bentART exhibition is held in the Blue Mountains. bentART is focused on encouraging, promoting and supporting the visual art of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) people of Australia. The sexual orientation of LGBTIQ artists naturally informs and influences their perspective and vision. It is this orientation and view of the world that is encouraged by bentART.
