About
The Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod is a major cultural event featuring competitions and exhibitions of Dance, Debating, Highland Dance, Music and Speech and Drama. The Eisteddfod runs from 21 June 2019 to 30 June 2019 and 25 July 2019 to 4 August 2019. All disciplines are held at the Albury Entertainment Centre in the heart of Albury, overlooking QEII Square.
Each year, thousands of young competitors take to the stage to showcase their talents and receive expert critique from experienced adjudicators. Those who enter, gain performance experience and confidence, along with the opportunity to win prizes and scholarships.
Albury Wodonga is an easy 3.5 hour drive on the Hume Highway from Melbourne or Canberra. As a regional city on the banks of the Murray River, Albury and Wodonga cities have a great deal to see, do and plenty to explore. The venue is close to shops and cafes, clubs and restaurants, accommodation, the art gallery and parks.
The Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod offers those in regional and rural areas, a local event to rival those held in the biggest city, without the expense of travelling. They also offer a friendly, familiar environment for performers of all levels.
